Job description

Permanent, 25 hours per week – Term time plus 3 weeks

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.00 – 9.00am and 3.00 – 6.00pm

Salary: Scale 3, Point 5 - £12.85 per hour

The Governors and staff of this highly successful school are seeking to appoint an experienced, effective and motivated Caretaker. The successful candidate will support our school in providing a safe, effective, and efficient learning environment.

Responsibilities include:

  1. General caretaking duties including opening and closing the premises
  2. Liaising with contractors
  3. Basic maintenance and repairs
  4. Waste management
  5. Emergency call outs
  6. Health and safety checks
  7. Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and security

The successful candidate will take pride in how the school looks and functions, possess good communication skills, and be able to deal with a variety of situations. There will also be a requirement to undertake training appropriate to the post.
