Caretaker

Hours of Post: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Split shift basis (to be discussed)
Contract: Permanent, Full Year
Salary: Scale 3 - £24,790 to £25,183

Start Date: Required from August 2025


25 days paid annual leave to be taken during school holidays. Some flexibility required during school holidays and events. Occasional evening / weekend overtime will be required.


Queensgate Primary School is looking for a full time Caretaker to join our hard working, enthusiastic and committed team. Responsibilities will include cleaning, maintenance and security of site, general repairs, and supervision of contractors.

We need a person to maintain a clean, welcoming, safe and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors to school. We are looking for an individual who has a positive ‘can do’ attitude and is hardworking and flexible.

The successful applicant will need to be computer literate, have good DIY skills, aware of health and safety procedures/regulations and be a strong team player willing to contribute effectively to our school ethos.
