Job summary

Dorset Council UK is seeking a Caretaker/Handyperson to join our friendly, hardworking team in Bridport. The role focuses on site security, responding to out-of-hours emergencies (overtime paid), and carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to keep learning environments safe and welcoming.

Job description

We are looking for a Caretaker/Handyperson to join our friendly hardworking team. Main duties will include site security, dealing with out of hours emergencies (which would be paid as overtime), undertaking routine maintenance and repairs.

This is a permanent position, working 8 hours a week for 52 weeks a year.

We are looking for someone who is positive, has a “can do” attitude, has relevant skills to undertake general maintenance (decorating, site maintenance, basic plumbing etc) and wants to ensure our pupils have the best environment to learn.
