Job Title: Temporary Caretaker/Handyman

Location: Newcastle, NE1, United Kingdom

Pay Rate: £15 per hour

Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday

Job Description:

A student accommodation company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative / Handyman for a temporary position to assist with daily reactive repairs and maintenance at their Newcastle site.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform reactive maintenance tasks including plumbing, joinery, carpentry, painting, and decorating as required.
2. Assist with moving furniture and heavy items within the building.
3. Maintain lighting systems and conduct statutory testing.
4. Respond appropriately to health and safety issues.
5. Manage and update electronic maintenance reports.
6. Monitor stock levels and inform management when supplies need replenishing.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Proven experience in repairs and maintenance within a residential or construction environment, with skills in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
