Our student accommodation company is seeking a temporary Handyman to assist with reactive repairs and maintenance at one of their student accommodation sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing reactive maintenance tasks such as plumbing, joinery, carpentry, painting, and decorating.
  • Moving furniture and heavy items within the premises.
  • Maintaining lighting systems and conducting statutory testing.
  • Responding appropriately to health and safety issues.
  • Managing electronic maintenance reports and updating records.
  • Ensuring adequate stock and materials, and notifying management when supplies need replenishing.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in repairs and maintenance in residential or construction environments, including trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
