We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our Community Pathways team as a Caretaker/Handy Person. As part of this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day duties including key holding, testing fire alarms, and working in line with robust Policy and Procedures outlined by ERC. You would carry out minor repairs and report faults outside of this remit directly to the duty manager.

We need someone who has good communication skills, a good understanding of DIY including Health and Safety, and Moving and Handling skills. The right person should be able to work alone as well as part of a team. It is essential that you hold a full UK driving license.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience working as a caretaker or in a similar role. Some understanding of supporting individuals with additional needs would be advantageous but is not essential.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults. Additionally, if you have lived or worked outside the UK in the past 10 years, an overseas police check may be required.
