Job summary

Glen Group is recruiting a Permanent, Full-Time Caretaker in the Chesterton, ST5 area. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:15–17:15, paying £13.31 per hour. It is a Key Holding position responsible for unlocking the site each day and keeping the keys safe.

This hands-on role requires cleaning and DIY experience; full training is provided. You will work to maintain clean, safe premises and demonstrate diplomacy with staff, customers, and surroundings.

Qualifications

• Hands-on caretaker with cleaning and DIY experience.
• Available Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 08:15–17:15.
• Trustworthy, well-organized and reliable with attention to detail.
• COSHH knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Customer/ Site Team.
• Follow all COSHH, H/S and colour coding.
• Use of Timegate for Actual pay.
• Daily rectification of faults.
• Cleaning a mix of areas thoroughly.
• Opening up the building.
• Handover the evening Caretaker.
• Sweeping & Deweeding the Car Park and around the building.
• Water checks & fire alarm tests.
• Decorating the building.
• Repairing jobs & ensuring safety.

Glen Group are actively recruiting for a Permanent, Full-Time Caretaker to join a well-established and growing cleaning business in the Chesterton, ST5 area.

You must be available to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, between the hours of 08:15-17:15pm at £13.31 per hour.

This is a Key Holding position, meaning you will be responsible for unlocking the site each day & keeping the keys safe.

This is a hands-on Caretaker Cleaning position, so cleaning and DIY experience is essential, full training will be provided.

We are looking for someone with knowledge of cleaning and to be part of the Glen family, you will need to demonstrate diplomacy with fellow staff, customers, and your surroundings.

You must be trustworthy, well-organized flexible, and reliable with a keen eye for attention to detail.
