About The Role
Handley House is seeking a Caretaker with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is required, and IT skills are preferred. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
As a Caretaker, your responsibilities include ensuring residents live in a well-maintained environment, conducting audits, and keeping records up to date. You will perform tasks such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, always with kindness.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to act. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
