Job description

We're looking for a Mobile Caretaker to join our Norwich Schools PFI team based in Norwich.

Location:

Norwich, Norfolk

Hours:

40 hours

What will you be responsible for?

As a Mobile Caretaker, you'll support the Norwich Schools PFI team in delivering high-quality facilities management services across school sites. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  1. Carrying out planned and remedial maintenance tasks, such as fire alarm testing, water temperature checks, and shower head cleaning.
  2. Liaising with the Facilities Coordinator and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  3. Conducting weekly internal and external building inspections and reporting issues.
  4. Providing hosting services and room setups for meetings.
  5. Supporting furniture moves, ad hoc tasks, and covering for caretaking and cleaning staff during holidays or sickness.

This role is ideal if you:

  • Have previous experience in caretaking or handyman duties and hold a clean driving license.
  • Are physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks safely.
  • Are calm, adaptable, and committed to excellent customer service.
