Job summary

Our Lady & St. Bede Catholic Academy is seeking a School Caretaker to keep the premises safe, secure, clean and well-maintained for pupils, staff and visitors. The role is hands-on and practical, requiring initiative and reliability to support everyday school operations.

You will maintain buildings and grounds, assist with minor repairs, oversee site security, set up for events, manage deliveries and help ensure health and safety standards are met, with a flexible approach to tasks.

Our Lady & St. Bede Catholic Academy is looking to appoint a Caretaker. As a School Caretaker, you will be a vital part of the school community, ensuring that the premises are safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who is practical, dependable, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and functional environment.

Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day upkeep of the school buildings and grounds, carrying out minor repairs, overseeing site security, and supporting the smooth running of school operations. You’ll also play a key role in setting up for events, managing deliveries, and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently met.

This is a hands-on and rewarding role that requires initiative, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility.
