GSL Education is recruiting an experienced Caretaker for a school in Rotherham (S60). The successful candidate will maintain a safe, clean, and inviting atmosphere for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities of Caretaker:

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and minor DIY tasks as required.
• Manage site security, including opening and closing the premises.
• Conduct regular health and safety checks across the school site.
• Oversee waste management, deliveries, and stock levels for maintenance supplies.
• Support cleaning teams and ensure outdoor areas are well-kept.
• Report any issues promptly and liaise with contractors when needed.

Requirements of Caretaker:

• Previous experience as a caretaker, site manager, or facilities role (school experience is an advantage).
• Practical skills for basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards.
• A proactive, trustworthy, and organised approach to work.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
