We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable part time Caretaker to help maintain the day-to-day upkeep of our office building and outdoor spaces. You’ll handle general maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and ensure our premises are safe, tidy, and well-presented.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in caretaking, handyperson work, or general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs (e.g. fixing furniture, painting, basic carpentry)
• Look after the external areas (e.g. garden/yard tidiness, sweeping, clearing drains)
• Conduct regular checks of the premises and flag any issues requiring specialist attention (e.g. electrical, plumbing, structural)
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers when arranging repairs or services
• Ensure communal areas and workspaces remain tidy and safe
• Support with small tasks as required by the office team (e.g. putting up shelving, moving equipment)
• Washing and cleaning our fleet vehicles inside and out

Ideal Candidate

• Hands-on experience in general building maintenance or caretaking roles
• Practical and problem-solving mindset with basic DIY skills
• Proactive with the ability to apply a common sense approach
• Able to identify when specialist work is needed and escalate appropriately
• Reliable, trustworthy, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and functional environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently

Ideally we are looking for someone Monday to Friday covering20 hours per week
