The job itself

Eastrington Primary School is seeking to appoint a Caretaker to join our happy, dedicated and supportive team to ensure that the school is safe, clean, welcoming and maintained to our high standards.

This is an important, varied role, therefore we are looking for someone who has a cheerful, positive attitude who can adapt to whatever is thrown at them. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, flexible and have practical skills.

The role includes:

• Key Holder duties and site security duties
• Cleaning duties
• Recording checks and maintenance of fire alarms and water temps (training provided)
• Daily safety checks of the premises
• Monitoring and ordering stock
• Seasonal jobs outside including snow clearance, gritting, leaf and gutter clearance
• Site maintenance including small repairs, improvements and decorating as required

• Have practical skills, able to undertake light repairs
• Able to respond to alarm calls
