Job summary

St Chad’s CE Primary School in Uppermill is seeking a reliable Caretaker to manage the security, cleanliness and day-to-day maintenance of our school site. The role requires a proactive approach to site care and safeguarding awareness.

You will perform site security, routine maintenance, health and safety checks, monitor contractors and maintain outdoor areas to ensure safe access for pupils and staff. 37 hours per week, permanent contract with a start date of 1 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Reliable, proactive caretaker able to take responsibility for security, cleanliness and day-to-day maintenance.
• Experience with safeguarding or site management is advantageous.
• Willingness to work 37 hours per week and manage contractors.

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday) AYR
