• HGV driving licence preferred but not essential.

Working Hours

45 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 6:30am-4:00pm, with a 30-minute break per shift.

Pay

This role pays from £15.00 per hour, dependent upon experience.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and productive Caretaker to join our Milton Keynes branch. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers. This position requires a strong commitment to providing high‑quality customer service while ensuring that the premises are well‑maintained.

What does the role involve?

• Maintain clean, safe and secure branch premises
• Support health and safety processes across the branch
• Carry out routine maintenance, groundskeeping and cleaning across the premises, including basic DIY tasks, gardening, spillages and gritting
• Ensure the overall cleanliness, tidiness and upkeep of the site is at the required standard and rectify where required
• Ensure all recycling and waste management processes are being followed across the branch
• Check in company courtesy cars and maintain general condition, including oil and water etc.
• Ensure yard operations are effective, including management of customer and company vehicles
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned to the required standard, including steam cleaning operations
• Support with HGV driving as and when required
• Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager

What are we looking for in a candidate?

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• HGV driving licence, preferred, not essential.
• A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards residents.
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving and the ability to manage time effectively.
