Caretaker wanted at Powerleague
Role Purpose
The overall purpose of the Caretaker role is to ensure the club is maintained to a high standard in all areas. This is a key role to ensure our clubs are always shown in their ‘best light’ to all visitors. From our entrances, through to our pitches and our clubhouses, our Caretakers ensure everything is in working order and looks the part, whilst always maintaining the safety of our customers. The caretaker will have key holder responsibility and be accountable for stock and club safety in the absence of the Club Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Maintain the pitches, including redistribution of rubber crumb, white lining, brushing and netting.
- Manage all internal areas of the club ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Work to a Maintenance Schedule to ensure the above standards are met on a regular basis.
- Complete general maintenance tasks as deemed appropriate by the Club Manager.
- Ensure all vending machines are kept fully stocked, operational and well presented.
- Ensure the club is compliant with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Complete risk assessments and pitch check sheets.
- Carry out weekly fire tests.
- Carry out bi-weekly beer line cleans and cellar management.
- Carry out weekly Legionella controls - weekly temperature checks and flushing.
- Ensure all stock deliveries are recorded and checked before accepting.
- Ensure stock is neatly stored away and rotated to avoid reaching sell-by date.
- Ensure a weekly lighting audit is carried out.
- Identify and report to the management team any areas of the club that require maintenance, advising where appropriate, action required.
Customer
- Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
- Fulfil all reasonable requests from customers to ensure their comfort, satisfaction, and safety.
- Deal with challenging situations by demonstrating empathy and understanding, and being empowered to make decisions to resolve issues.
- Place the customer at the heart of everything you do.
- Take feedback from customers onboard and relay this back to your line manager.
Finance
- Control expenditure and work within a budget when repairing or replacing equipment.
- Ensure the club and vending machines are secure at all times.
- Source cost-effective ways to repair issues.
