Job summary

A dedicated education service provider based in Leeds is seeking a proactive School Caretaker to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for pupils. You will be responsible for daily maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and assisting with school events. This role requires previous experience and a flexible attitude. Competitive pay of £17-£19 per hour depending on experience and an enhanced DBS is required.

  • Location: N11
  • Salary: Depending on experience, £17-£19 per hour
  • Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and proactive School Caretaker on behalf of a major client. As a vital member of the school community, the caretaker plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. This hands-on caretaker role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily opening and closing of the school premises, an essential caretaker duty
  • Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks as the go-to caretaker
  • Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and presentable, core to the caretaker's responsibilities
  • Monitoring key systems including heating, lighting, and alarms
  • Assisting with room setup for school events and activities, where the caretaker's support is crucial
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times
