GSL Education are looking for a responsible and hands-on Caretaker to join a supportive and inclusive school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the school site.

About the Role:

As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the upkeep, safety, and security of the school premises. Your role is essential in creating a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities of the Caretaker:

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across the school site.
• Ensure the premises are clean, secure, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Open and close the school buildings as required.
• Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
• Support with setting up rooms for school events and activities.
• Liaise with contractors and report any major maintenance issues.

Requirements for the Caretaker Role:

• Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, or maintenance role is essential.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Competitive daily rate of £125 to £175, depending on experience.
