A staffing services company is looking for a Caretaker in Bridgend. The role involves opening and securing premises, general upkeep, and routine checks. Candidates should have caretaking or maintenance experience, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and be available to start immediately. This is a split shift position with competitive pay.   • General site upkeep, including emptying bins and minor cleaning tasks.
  • Overseeing traffic management to ensure pupils safely board their transport.
  • Carrying out routine compliance checks, including security checks.
  • Basic maintenance and general handyman duties.

Overview
  • Job Title: Caretaker
  • Location: Bridgend
  • Hours: Split Shifts: Monday to Friday - 06:00-09:30 (AM) and 14:30-17:45 (PM)
  • Pay: Dependant on experience £13.08 per -
  • Contract: Ongoing temporary role with possible temp-to-perm opportunity
Responsibilities
  • Opening and securing the premises each day
  • General site upkeep, including emptying bins and minor cleaning tasks
  • Overseeing traffic management to ensure pupils safely board their transport.
  • Carrying out routine compliance checks, including: Legionella testing, Fire alarm testing, Perimeter and security checks
  • Basic maintenance and general handyman duties
Shift Details
  • Split shift pattern:
  • Morning shift: 06:00 - 09:30 (17.5 hours per week)
  • Afternoon shift: 14:30 - 17:45 (16.25 hours per week)
  • We welcome applications from candidates looking to work either the AM or PM shift only, or both.
Requirements
  • Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience is desirable
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
  • Enhanced DBS (Manpower covers the cost of this if you aren't on the DBS Update Service)
  • Availability to start as soon as possible
  • Job offers are subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references.
