Caretaker – Blaise Primary and Nursery School
Henbury, Bristol
35 hours per week, all year round

We’re looking for a committed and proactive caretaker to help us keep Blaise safe, welcoming and well-maintained — inside and out.

We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong practical maintenance skills (DIY or trade experience welcome)
Is organised, reliable, and can work independently as well as part of a team
Understands the importance of site safety, security and safeguarding
Takes pride in creating a positive and well-presented learning environment
Can communicate well with staff, contractors and visitors
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving our site and buildings, keeping everything safe and in good working order, opening and securing the school, and responding quickly to issues. There is a daily checklist and support from our part time caretaker — you won’t be on your own.

Contract Details:
35 hours per week (full time, year round)
Usual hours between 7.00am and 6.30pm, with some flexibility
26 days’ annual leaveBG6 (SCP 6-7): £25,989– £26,403 depending on experience
Permanent contract (subject to a 6-month probation period)
