Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in care and be a compassionate person.

Care Workers / Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers will help with the day-to-day care of patients either at home or in a healthcare facility.

They are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

Previous experience or qualifications are preferred but not essential.

As a Care Worker, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other healthcare assistants.

Your duties may include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Serving food or assisting with eating
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients confined to bed to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting patients with mobility
• Helping patients use the toilet and managing bedpans
• Keeping the environment tidy and supplies organized

Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
