Job description

This is an external vacancy and is not employment with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Carers support is required for a young male adult with special/complex needs and long-term medical health conditions.

The role involves working within his home environment for a family of Christian faith and values; applicants with similar faiths and values are encouraged to apply.

The responsibilities include supporting all structured activities and daily routines, such as personal cares, meal preparation and cooking, cleaning his space, and taking him on weekly outdoor activities.

The young man has a fun and caring nature, enjoys music and dancing, and is very energetic.

A driver with own vehicle and business use is essential.

Relevant training will be provided for the role.

DBS and reference checks are required for this position, with costs covered by the local authority.

The Direct Payments Support Service, provided by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, promotes independent choice and inclusion, supporting individuals to employ their own care and support staff, including support workers, carers, and personal assistants.

Travel

Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required; applicants must be able to transport themselves.
