Carer / Companion (P/T) – (Casual)

Hours: Casual – As and when required

ROP: £12.60 per hour

Details

Carer / Companion required to provide support and companionship to a gentleman with Hypoxic Brain Injury which has significantly impacted on his cognition and mobility.

Duties

You will be required to provide personal care including showering / dressing and meal provision. You will provide companionship within the gentleman’s home and on social outings.

The gentleman enjoys listening to music; movies; gardening. We are looking for an individual who has a sense of humour and patience.

Experience / Qualifications Required

Experience of working in Care / knowledge of manual handling, brain injury and wheelchair safety would be beneficial. Moving & Assisting training required – however can be provided by the employer.

***Please note that the Employer will require staff to adhere to safe working practice, this will include the use of PPE ( Masks, hand gel, gloves ) , as well as using Lateral Flow Testing Kits . PPE will be supplied by the employer.

***This position is subject to a 6 month probationary period.

Successful applicants will have to provide 2 references (one of which must be your current or most recent employer) and undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employers cost.
