Making Space is seeking a full-time Carer Advisor/ Administrator in Peterborough to support the Carers Support Service. This role involves facilitating information and support for carers over 18 and requires excellent organizational and communication skills. Overview

We have an opportunity available for a full time Carer Advisor/ Admin Administrator to join the team at our Peterborough and Cambridge Carers Support Service.

Our Carers Support Service provides dedicated support, advice and information for carers over the age of 18. The team offers emotional support, groups and activities ensuring carers feel recognised and valued.

Weekly hours: 37

Responsibilities

As an Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the day-to-day operations. You will be the inital point of contact for carers accessing the service.

You will undertake triage based conversations to identify needs and will provide up to date information and advice to carers , referring them to the carer support workers when will also provide support in planning and arranging a range of peer group, carer activities and training sessions for carers.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who have an eye for detail and the ability to work independently and in accordance with deadlines.

Previous administration experience and a good IT skills and knowledge of Office 365 is essential.

Experience of working within a health and social care setting would be an advantage but is not essential.

It’s important to note that you do not need prior industry experience or any specific qualifications to be considered for this role. On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
