Our client is a Care provider who own two residential homes in Plymouth and Liskeard. They provide full time residential care to adults with Learning disabilities and Complex needs. They are currently looking to recruit additional Support Workers to join their friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to work for a caring organisation, where you can really make a difference to the lives of the people you support. You will be responsible for supporting residents with Learning Disabilities and Complex needs in all aspects of their home and social lives.

Some of your key duties will include;

  • Supporting residents in all aspects of their home and social lives
  • Working to individualised care plans
  • Assisting with domestic duties such as; cleaning, cooking and shopping
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Taking residents out in the community to visits and activities
  • Liaising with other staff members and outside agencies
  • Maintaining records and ensuring information is kept up to date
  • Ensuring health and safety is adhered to and all relevant risk assessments are completed

The ideal candidate for the Support Worker role will be caring, approachable and compassionate by nature with excellent communication skills. You will be resilient and able to deal with challenging behaviour.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided. You must be happy to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
