Job summary

A leading staffing agency seeks an experienced Carehome Chef for flexible shifts in Nantwich. This role offers competitive pay and the flexibility to choose shifts. Responsibilities include preparing meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and working compassionately with residents. Ideal candidates will have previous chef experience, knowledge of dietary modifications, and hold a Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, specifically in care homes or similar settings.
• Must possess Food Hygiene Level 2 certification, acquired within the last 3 years.
• Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen section.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals, including modified diets.
• Manage stock and deliveries while ensuring kitchen cleanliness and safety.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.

• £16 per hour (Mon-Fri) | £24 per hour (Sat) | £32 per hour (Sun)
  
  

Shifts available: 7:00am - 3:00pm or 10:30am - 6:30pm.

We're on the lookout for experienced chefs to work in friendly care homes in the Willaston/Nantwich area. These are temporary ongoing shifts where you pick and choose when you work -perfect for topping up your income or enjoying varied kitchen environments.

Please note: An enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months OR on the update service is required, if you do not have one, we can support the process in getting you one

What We're Looking For:

• Proven chef experience (care home or similar beneficial)
• Knowledge of modified diets and texture requirements
• Food Hygiene Level 2 (within the last 3 years)
• Own chef whites and knives
• Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen section
• Organised, reliable, and a good communicator
• Compassionate and respectful approach to working with residents
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals, including modified diets
• Managing stock and deliveries
• Keeping the kitchen clean and safe
• Following all food safety and hygiene standards
• Washing up and maintaining kitchen organisation
