Nottingham Girls’ Academy is seeking an experienced Careers Lead to drive a careers strategy focused on outcomes for young women. You will plan and implement a programme that meets the Gatsby benchmarks and supports students through education, training and employment transitions.
Based on the outskirts of Nottingham and part of the Greenwood Academies Trust, the academy values safeguarding, inclusion, and developing the potential of every pupil within its dedicated SEND team.
We are looking for an experienced Careers Lead who is passionate about the outcomes of young women to join our team.
You will be responsible for planning and implement a strategy for developing a careers programme for the Nottingham Girls’ Academy that meets all eight of the Gatsby benchmarks of good practice and prepares young people for the choices and transitions in education, training and employment.
The Nottingham Girls’ Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), based on the outskirts of Nottingham, provides 11-19 education for over 900 pupils. The academy, led by the Executive Principal, David Tungate, has a clear vision for the future. Through high standards in teaching and pastoral care, they are determined that pupils are able to achieve great results and leave as confident, compassionate and articulate young women, with the skills to support them through the rest of their lives. Research has shown that a single sex environment empowers girls to realise their potential and through the dedicated and specialist care on offer, the academy aims to support this through teaching focused solely upon the needs of girls.
