Job summary

Chipping Norton School is seeking an organised, connected professional to lead our CEIAG programme, helping students connect learning to life beyond the school gates. You will design and deliver a careers programme meeting Gatsby Benchmarks and Provider Access Legislation.

You will run 1:1 impartial guidance sessions (Level 6 Career Guidance), manage work experience placements, and build links with FE colleges, universities and local employers while briefing staff and engaging parents and alumni.

Qualifications

• Impartial 1:1 guidance sessions required, Level 6 in Career Guidance.
• Experience coordinating careers education, work experience, and employer engagement.
• Strong knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks and higher education pathways.
• Ability to lead PSHE modules related to careers and enterprise.
• Strong organisational skills to track 14–19 destination data and liaise with FE colleges, universities and local employers.
• Excellent communication to brief teaching staff, collaborate with subject leaders, and engage parents/alumni.

We are looking for an organised, connected professional to take lead responsibility for our careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) programme - helping students connect their learning directly to life beyond the school gates.

Why This Role Matters You will lead, design, and deliver a careers programme that meets the Gatsby Benchmarks and Provider Access Legislation. From conducting 1:1 impartial guidance sessions (Level 6 qualification in Career Guidance required) at key decision points to managing and evaluating work experience placements, you will ensure our students engage directly with diverse industries and post-16/18 options. Walking through our careers sessions on a typical morning, you will hear students actively participating, asking sharp, relevant questions about different professions, and planning the precise steps needed to reach their goals.

What You’ll Bring
