Job description

Employer Engagement & Learner Support Officer

We are seeking a dedicated professional with experience in building strong relationships with local employers to secure meaningful placements for learners. The ideal candidate will offer guidance and support to employers, ensuring a positive placement experience for both businesses and learners. Additionally, this role involves contributing to the development and delivery of learner programmes, including recruitment, induction, and work experience support.

Essential Requirements:
  • A strong general education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (A-C).
  • Experience in designing and delivering learning programmes for young people, ideally focusing on employability.
  • Experience in conducting learner assessments, including literacy and numeracy evaluations.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with young people, employers, and colleagues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Competency in managing both paper-based and electronic records.
  • A passion for supporting young people in their personal and professional development.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform under pressure.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • A recognised post-compulsory teaching qualification at Level 6 or equivalent (e.g., DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed).
  • Assessor qualification.
Working hours:

Monday-Friday, term time only, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. This is a temporary role with potential for permanence.
