Job description

In a rapidly evolving world, exceptional careers guidance is more critical than ever. As our Careers and Enterprise Leader, you'll be at the heart of ensuring our learners and their families receive the unbiased information, advice, and guidance (IAG) they need to navigate complex career pathways and make informed decisions about their future. This role involves preparing individuals for emerging opportunities and challenges, helping them overcome barriers, raise aspirations, and capitalize on the dynamic labour market.

You'll lead with enthusiasm and passion to ensure the RNN Group provides independent careers education and guidance (CEIAG) that equips learners with the skills and knowledge to adapt, innovate, and succeed. This includes driving our commitment to meeting and exceeding the Gatsby Benchmarks, which are fundamental to delivering world-class careers provision.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Experience with student guidance, working with learners aged 14-16, 16-18, 19+ including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Looked After Children, and Education Health and Care Plans.
  2. Developing and implementing successful CEIAG strategies and operational plans in a post-16 setting.
  3. Holding a degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification in careers guidance (e.g., Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development) OR significant professional experience in a similar role.
  4. Supporting the undertaking of Level 6 careers guidance qualification through RNN Group.

Knowledge of qualifications within Further Education and progression routes is desirable.

The role involves line managing Careers Advisors across the Group, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and working across multiple colleges to ensure curriculum areas meet the Gatsby Benchmarks, highlighting good practice and supporting areas needing improvement.
