This role focuses on delivering essential careers guidance tailored for young people, ensuring their needs are met, particularly for vulnerable groups. You'll engage with students to provide actionable advice, lead informative sessions, and collaborate with educational professionals to foster a comprehensive career planning environment.
We are seeking a School Careers Adviser in Brentford
Temp to perm (13 weeks temporary moving to a permanent role for the right candidate)
Term time only 3 days per week Weds-Fri
GBP20 per hour umbrella. PAYE is also available.
DBS within 12 months or on the update service
Role:
Produce tailored careers information, advice and guidance to meet the needs of young people including vulnerable groups and those with special educations needs and disabilities (SEND), taking part in reviews and contributing to the education health and care plans as required.
Produce action plans and record information where appropriate.
Plan and deliver small/large group sessions/events on a range of careers-related topics
Qualifications/Experience Essential:
IAG L6
Will have worked with young people preferably in a school setting
Will have worked in a collaborative team setting and built/maintained effective relationships
Skills Essential:
Effective communication skills including written and verbal and be able to relate to a wide range of people and organisations
MUST HAVE IN DATE DBS OR ON THE UPDATE SERVICE
