We are looking for a

Careers Adviser to join our team for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a full-time post, but we would consider 0.8 FTE. The successful candidate will:

  1. Provide careers guidance to undergraduate and graduate students and alumni through 1-1s and group work.
  2. Engage closely with two or three employment sectors.
  3. Liaise with departments and colleges.
  4. Contribute to learning and development programmes.

Careers Advisers are encouraged to develop new initiatives, such as supporting international students, refugees, and asylum seekers, working on volunteering programmes, and sector-related initiatives like the Creative Careers Festival. Candidates should hold a degree in any discipline, have substantial employment experience in a relevant sector, and possess experience in graduate recruitment, careers advice, or similar areas.

The Careers Service at Oxford University is innovative and tailored to the university's research and teaching focus. Our mission is to provide high-value career services to our diverse community, including students, research staff, alumni, and employers.

The role is primarily office-based, either at the Careers Service or in colleges and departments. All applications must be submitted by 12:00 noon (BST) on 1st September 2025. The assessment day is expected to be held on 11th September 2025.
