Wirral Council is seeking enthusiastic applicants for a role in its Network Management Team that will fully support the highway design function, which is part of the Council's Highways & Infrastructure service. The Design & Commissioning team is committed to providing high-quality civil engineering design and project management services to its clients as an internal traded business unit. The team manages a large portfolio of projects, including minor highway improvements under the Combined Authority Transport Plan and major projects within the City Region and Key Route Network infrastructure.
We offer a Career Progression Pathway with four stages, each with a competency-based framework for progression. Successful candidates will receive support through work-related development and, where applicable, day release training at college. The ideal candidate will meet the essential and desirable criteria for their preferred role. They should demonstrate personal attributes suitable for a Highway Engineering Team, work in an agile manner, and possess good interpersonal skills to collaborate on complex engineering solutions. Training will be provided at all levels based on experience and qualifications.
