About You

This is an expression of interest - we are open to speaking to Mechanical Engineers at all stages of their careers that want to join us in our offices in Warrington, Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle.

You will be involved in the whole project life cycle from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support including site surveys and investigations.

You will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community.

More senior Engineerswill manage and guide the more junior members of the team and help with their development.

Key Requirements:

  • Experienced Mechanical Engineer who is ideally Chartered, with experience in mechanical design, ideally within water industry
  • Producing and reviewing technical outputs such as technical specifications, sizing and designing pumping systems and aeration systems, schedules, reports and familiar with collaborative planning reviews and designs of solutions
  • Providing engineering input to design outputs in collaboration with other disciplines, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Strong communication skills and be able to deliver technical presentations to clients and other design engineers as well as inputting into collaborative design discussions including technical workshops, safety reviews including HAZOPs and ALMs
  • Provide technical leadership to the Mechanical design team and support the development of junior engineers
  • Understanding of how water and wastewater treatment processes operate and be experienced in assessing existing site infrastructure to develop and deliver the mechanical design.
