About You

This is an expression of interest - we are open to speaking to Mechanical Engineers at all career stages who want to join us in our offices in Warrington, Manchester, Leeds, or Newcastle.

You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility and optioneering through detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations.

You will liaise with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to achieve positive project and community outcomes.

More senior engineers will manage and guide junior team members and support their development.

Key Requirements:

  • Experienced Mechanical Engineer, ideally Chartered, with experience in mechanical design within the water industry.
  • Proficient in producing and reviewing technical outputs such as specifications, pump and aeration system designs, schedules, and reports; familiar with collaborative planning and design of solutions.
  • Ability to provide engineering input to design outputs in collaboration with other disciplines, including General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of delivering technical presentations and participating in technical workshops, safety reviews, HAZOPs, and ALMs.
  • Provide technical leadership to the Mechanical design team and support junior engineers' development.
  • Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and experience assessing existing site infrastructure for mechanical design development.
