Job summary

David Lewis is seeking an Apprenticeship & Early Careers Mentor to guide its first Health & Social Care Apprentices. The role focuses on coaching, confidence-building and professional development to help learners thrive in a complex care setting.

The fixed-term, 12-month contract offers a pathway to extended opportunities as the program grows, with collaboration across Recruitment, Learning & Development and operations to support a successful apprentice journey.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ qualification in Learning & Development, Education, HR, Coaching, Youth Work, or Careers Guidance.
• Experience in careers guidance, employability, coaching, mentoring or employment support.
• Knowledge of the care sector and developing people.
• Ability to build trust with young adults.

Responsibilities

• Support apprentices to settle into life at David Lewis and build confidence.
• Develop professional skills and guide through apprenticeship journey.
• Collaborate with Recruitment, Learning & Development and operations teams to ensure strong start for apprentices.
• Support work experience students, university placements, T Level learners, graduates and future programmes.
