Job description

As a Career Development Advisor for the London Postgraduate campus, you will be responsible for inspiring, guiding, and directing students as they explore career options, define targets, plan their go-to-market strategy, and secure their next employment after Hult.

Responsibilities

  1. Career Skilling - In partnership with campus staff, organize and execute employability curriculum and a series of interactive workshops covering all career and job search fundamentals – Resume, LinkedIn, Personal Branding, Networking, Pitching, Interviewing, etc.
  2. Career Platform - Contribute resources and knowledge to Hult's online Career Platform, and train students on its use. Facilitate access to online tools and resources, and provide ongoing curated materials, insights, and advice.
  3. Career Advising – Present and promote the Global ROADmap, and provide coaching sessions, including group and 1:1 coaching, to help students identify target jobs and develop action plans. Encourage early engagement in the career journey.
  4. Career Connections – Facilitate connections between students and the Hult community, including alumni, faculty, staff, employers, clubs, mentors, etc.
  5. General - Maintain the student career portal, keep case notes, monitor career progress through reports, and partner with academic staff to support students throughout the year. Serve as the main contact for all career-related matters.

Qualifications

  • Passion for Hult's mission to educate, inspire, and empower a diverse student body from over 150 countries, helping them build careers in international business.
  • Knowledge of recruitment practices, market dynamics, and in-demand roles and skills regionally and nationally. Deep networks in specific industries or functional areas are highly valued.
  • Interest in regional employment opportunities and awareness of global hiring trends.
  • Experience in career advising and recruitment is highly valued but not mandatory; familiarity with assessment tools, career planning, social media, and job search strategies is beneficial.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, event facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Technologically savvy, able to navigate student tools and platforms efficiently.
  • International experience and multicultural exposure are pluses.
  • Familiarity with employment landscapes for international students is a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree required; postgraduate degrees, certificates, or formal training are highly valued.
  • Quick learner, passionate about becoming a world-class global career advisor, and dedicated to supporting students' growth.
  • Resourceful, curious, and energetic.
  • This role requires on-campus presence 4 days a week with 1 day work-from-home; this may change based on policies. During critical periods, 5 days on campus may be required.
