Westmorland and Furness Council is hiring a permanent Social Worker in the Cared For Children and Young People Team. You will work with children in care, care leavers and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, building plans and supporting families and carers.

With a caseload of around 17 children, you will contribute to their voices, outcomes and potential while benefiting from the Social Work Academy and ongoing professional development.

A permanent Social Worker post in the Cared For Children and Young People Team at Westmorland and Furness Council. The work centres on children in care, care leavers and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, building plans and relationships with them and with their families, carers and partner agencies. The caseload averages 17 children, and a dedicated Social Work Academy supports career development. Fit depends on an enhanced DBS check with the Children's and Adults Barred List.
