Job Title: Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to assist the team with daily routines, including personal care and feeding.

Candidates must have at least 6 months of experience in care and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the daily care of patients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, or in patients' own homes.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other healthcare professionals.

Your duties may include:

  1. Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
  2. Assisting with feeding and serving food
  3. Making and changing beds
  4. Turning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores
  5. Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
  6. Assisting patients with mobility
  7. Managing bedpans and helping patients with toileting
  8. Maintaining cleanliness of the ward or patient's home
  9. Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in induction training for new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to NHS and private sectors, including nurses, general nurses, RGN, NMC registered nurses, Band 5 and 6, HCAs, community nurses, specialist nurses, A&E staff, endoscopy, theatre staff, physiotherapists, and doctors.
