Job Role: Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will help and assist the team with daily routines, including personal care and feeding.

Ideally, candidates will have at least 3 months of experience in care and possess compassion. Training is available for those without prior experience.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily care in residential, care, respite homes, hospices, hospitals, and private residences.

Key duties:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, dressing
• Serving food and assisting with eating
• Making and changing beds
• Turning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting with mobility and transfers
• Assisting with toileting and hygiene
• Maintaining a tidy environment and managing supplies

Experience with mobility aids and escorting patients between departments may be required. Training opportunities include induction for new healthcare assistants.
