Job summary

Life-Line Care 4 U Limited in Nelson, England, is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to provide compassionate support in various care settings, promoting independence and safety for the people you care for.

You will assist with personal care, help with meals, monitor wellbeing, and maintain accurate records, following safeguarding protocols and CQC standards. A driver’s license is beneficial and flexibility to work shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home or home care settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person focused care according to individual care plans.
• Help clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and other personal care needs.
• Support with medication and health monitoring per care plans.
• Prepare meals and assist with domestic duties as required.
• Provide company and emotional support, while encouraging independence and dignity.
• Provide mental-health, reablement, and palliative/end-of-life care as needed.
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes promptly.
• Maintain accurate patient care records.
• Follow safeguarding protocols and CQC standards.
• Collaborate with families and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.

Job Overview

We are looking for a caring and dedicated Care Worker to offer excellent help and support in a variety of different care environments. As a Care Worker you will provide individual support, promote independence and ensure safety, making a difference to the quality of life of the people you care for. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of elderly, those with disabilities, or those recovering from illness in a dynamic and gratifying workplace.

Accountabilities

• Deliver person focused care to the requirements of individual care plans
• Help clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and other personal care needs.
• Support with medication and health monitoring in line with care plans and workplace procedures.
• Prepare meals and help with domestic duties as required.
• Provide company and emotional support, while encouraging independence and dignity.
• Provide mental-health, reablement, and palliative/end-of-life-care for people who have dementia, in accordance with their evaluated needs.
• Monitor the clients’ wellbeing and report any changes or concerns immediately.
• Maintain accurate and private patient care records.
• Follow safeguarding protocols, company rules and relevant CQC care standards.
• Collaborate with families, colleagues and other experts to provide continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home or home care settings greatly preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care and senior care practices
• A plus is certification or training in first aid and CPR.
• Ability to securely carry large weight while supporting clients with mobility or transfers.
• Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude for care giving
• Transportation duties: Valid driving licence and clean driving record
• Ability to work multiple shifts including evenings, weekends or holidays as required
