About the Role:

(Home care).

Role Type: Full-Time /Part-Time/Bank

Hours:16-48

Shift Patterns-Teas & Beds

Location :Sefton, Southport and the surrounding areas

This role requires you to be physically present in a specific geographic area due to the nature of the work (e.g. on-call duties, rapid response needs, rota-based care, or services sensitive to travel time).

If you currently live 30 minutes outside the area and do not intend to relocate, we must make you aware that this could significantly impact your ability to perform the role safely and reliably for example, reaching service users on time or being available for urgent visits.

This role is not open to applications from those who will require sponsorship under the points-based system. Should you apply for this role and be found to require sponsorship your application will be rejected, and any provisional offer of employment withdrawn

Key Responsibilities of a Community Care Worker:

  • Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans
  • Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required
  • Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks
  • Building positive relationships with individuals and their families
  • Supporting emotional well-being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home
  • Respecting confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries at all times

  • Weekend availability (alternative weekends or 1 day per weekend).
