Job Summary
The Care Worker / Support Worker will provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes and within the community. The role involves promoting people's dignity, privacy, independence, choice, wellbeing and rights, while supporting them to live as independently as possible.
The successful candidate will work in accordance with each individual's care plan, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and organisational policies, ensuring that care is delivered safely and respectfully and that people's individual needs and preferences are understood and met. This reflects CQC requirements around person-centred care, dignity, consent and safe care.

Previous care experience is desirable, but suitable applicants may be considered subject to the organisation's recruitment, induction and competency processes.
Staff should receive an appropriate induction and training relevant to their role. CQC specifically expects providers to identify staff training needs and ensure training aligns with the Care Certificate standards, statutory requirements and the needs of the people being supported.

The post holder will promote dignity, privacy, choice, independence and wellbeing and will work within their competence at all times. They are expected to maintain professional standards, attend required training and supervision, accurately record and report care provided, and immediately escape safeguarding, health, safety or wellbeing concerns.
