We are recruiting a minimum of 3 full-time Care Workers to provide care and support to people living in the Lower Wortley, Farnley, Low Moor Side and Bramley (LS12 / LS13) areas which includes:

  1. Farnley
  2. Silver Royd Hill
  3. Low Moor Side
  4. New Farnley
  5. Upper Moor Side
  6. Lower Wortley
  7. New Blackpool
  8. Far Royds
  9. Bramley
  10. Bradley Hill
  11. Tannery Yard

We are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. If you want to make a positive difference to the lives of those in your community, we want to hear from you!

Pay: £12.50 p/hr (drivers) / £12.00 p/hr (walkers) - travel time included
Mileage: 45p per mile for drivers & 20p per mile for cyclists
Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.

As a Care Worker for Be Caring, your working hours will be aligned to our shift patterns, which for this role include late shift working and alternate weekends.

Shift Patterns:
Early Shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm
Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times)

We will agree your working pattern, setting a 2-week rota which includes:

  1. Alternate full weekends.
  2. Evenings as agreed within your working hours.

Paid induction training: 1 week classroom-based (Monday - Friday), 2 days shadowing and additional online modules.
Training development: funded Level 2 and other accredited courses.
Holiday pay: annual leave accumulates with working hours and length of service.

Job Description

You may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Care Worker for Be Caring. Patience, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.

As a Care Worker in Lower Wortley, Farnley, Low Moor Side and Bramley, you will:

  1. Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
  2. Promote independence using enabling approaches.
  3. Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
  4. Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
  5. Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
  6. Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.
Induction Training

As a Care Worker for Be Caring, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on:

  1. Be Caring values and going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes.
  2. Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity.
  3. Confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  4. Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication.
  5. Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red).
  6. Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
  7. Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity.
