Care Worker

£10,483 pa for 16 hours a week

Location: Byrnhill Grove, Ventnor, Isle of Wight

We are seeking a passionate Care Worker to join Southern Housing. In this role, you will work as part of a team providing person-centred care and support to residents at Byrnhill Grove, our Registered Care Home in Ventnor.

You should be flexible to respond to individual needs, assist with personal care when required, and ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols, care plans, and risk assessments. The role involves manual handling tasks and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Services check.

This is a part-time position, contracted for 16 hours per week.

Location: Byrnhill Grove, Ventnor, Isle of Wight

Responsibilities include:

• Providing care as outlined in residents' care plans, including personal care if needed.
• Promoting independence, rights, choices, and community inclusion.
• Calling for professional assistance during emergencies.
• Ensuring care practices meet CQC standards and residents' individual needs and wishes are reflected in care plans and risk assessments.

Requirements:

• 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths & English.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
