We are recruiting a minimum of 3 part-time Care Workers to provide care and support to people living in the WF3 area, which includes:

  • Bottom Boat
  • Carlton
  • East Ardsley
  • Lofthouse
  • Lofthouse Gate
  • Robin Hood
  • Thorpe
  • Tingley
  • West Ardsley

  • Shift Pay: rather than pay per call; allowing you to go Above & Beyond when supporting clients to achieve outcomes, maintain independence, and build community connections.

As a Care Worker for Be Caring, your working hours will be aligned to our shift patterns, which for this role include late shifts and alternate weekends.

  • Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times)

We will agree your working pattern, setting a 2-week rota which includes:

  • Evenings as agreed within your working hours.

Job Description

You may already have many of the skills needed to excel as a Care Worker for Be Caring. Patience, empathy, and clear, effective communication are essential qualities for this role.

As a Care Worker working in WF3, you will:

  • Provide personal care that respects people's dignity.
  • Promote independence using enabling approaches.
  • Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
  • Connect people to their communities, accessing local support and services.
  • Deliver personalized care through individual choice and control.
  • Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information appropriately.

Induction Training

As a Care Worker for Be Caring, you will receive comprehensive induction training on:

  • Be Caring values and going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes.
  • Dignity, respect, safeguarding, and equality and diversity.
  • Confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Fluids, nutrition, and safe medication administration.
  • Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sore prevention (React to Red).
  • Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
  • Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health, and capacity.
