Care Worker Adult Services Gloucester

Are you a passionate and dedicated Care Worker looking for your next role?

4Recruitment Services are recruiting Care Workers to work in a busy Adult Social Care service based across Gloucester.

Pay Rates: GBP13.00 - GBP15.50 per hour (Rates are dependent on shift type and are Umbrella Rates).

Information on the Role:

Successful candidates will be offered different shift patterns.

What you will be doing:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Adult Social Care In-House services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support individuals with all aspects of their day-to-day living as detailed in the care plan.
  • Promote the health and wellbeing of individuals, ensuring all care needs are met.
  • Monitor and record the progress of individuals both verbally and in writing as required.
  • Protect individuals from abuse and avoidable harm.
  • Be aware of corporate and departmental policies and procedures and follow these, including adhering to all health and safety instructions and risk assessments to ensure safety.
  • Participate in supervision and appraisals.
  • Undertake suitable training and other opportunities for staff development as directed by the line manager.

Skills & Professional Characteristics Needed:

  • An understanding of the role and responsibilities of workers in the health and social care sector.
  • The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
  • Good ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • An understanding of legislation and principles of care and support, including the General Data Protection Act, Safeguarding, and the Equality Act.
  • An understanding of the role and purpose of promoting health and wellbeing, including the influence of life factors.

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE Level English 9-4 (or equivalent).
  • Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
