As a Care Worker at High Peak House, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will support the children to progress and develop onto the next stages of their lives, through the daily care that you provide.
You will provide tailored, child centred care to support the children to develop independence skills, achieve academically, develop their own identity, support their health and well-being, support them to achieve in other areas of their lives, support and promote family links, and provide exciting and enjoyable experiences and opportunities for the children.
Ideally, for this role, we are looking for a qualified Care Worker (Level 3 in Residential Childcare) who has experience of working within a SEMH (social, emotional and mental health difficulties) setting, and has a passion for supporting children to develop and thrive. More importantly, we seek someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of our children and young people. High Peak House, part of Kedleston Group, is a children’s home housing two small 3-bed homes within the grounds of High Peak School, a specialist SEMH provision. Our homes provide a homely, cozy environment and are set within expansive grounds offering outdoor experiences. Children and young people from diverse backgrounds attend our home and the partnered school, often due to SEMH difficulties. Our home provides a safe, nurturing environment for growth, development, and achievement.
