About the role

Your tasks will vary depending on the person you support and will be outlined in a care plan. Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration
• Supporting with toileting or continence care
• Helping with bathing or showering
• Assisting with dressing
• Recording visit information
• Flagging potential issues

About you

To succeed as a Community Care Worker, you should have / be:

• Previous experience in care (preferred but not essential)
• A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
• Ability to commute within Chesterfield

Working hours

Available shifts include:

• Dinner runs

All carers work alternate weekends. Working every weekend is optional, and you can choose to combine shifts or work single shifts. Contracted hours are available on a permanent basis regardless of shift pattern.

Rewards and benefits

The hourly rates for Community Care Workers are:

• 0-6 months service: £11.35
• 6-12 months service: £11.45
• 12+ months service: £11.60
• Bank Holiday: £13.15
• Sickness/Holiday cover: up to £18.00
