Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Shifts: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM & 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Flexibility to work both shifts as needed)
Hourly Rate: £12.21 p/h – Mileage reimbursement for travel between client locations.
Location: Carlisle

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our client and provide high-quality care to elderly individuals in their homes. As a Care Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, ensuring comfort, and maintaining the dignity of elderly clients.

This role requires someone with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of elderly people, as well as the ability to work independently and manage various tasks. A valid driver’s license and your own vehicle are required as you will be traveling to clients' homes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist elderly clients with daily living activities, including personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming), mobility, and feeding.
• Support clients with medication reminders and ensure they take their prescribed medication.
• Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Observe and report any changes in the health or well-being of clients to the senior care team.
• Maintain accurate care records and reports.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in elderly care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Compassionate, patient, and able to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• A DBS check will be required (or you must be willing to undergo one).
• Ability to communicate effectively with elderly clients, family members, and the care team.
